Bulk Editing Snapshot Contents

I’d like to bulk replace a parameter across hundreds of snapshots with a different parameter preset. It doesn’t look like it’s possible currently, as snapshot contents doesn’t follow the same multi-select rules as events, but is it a feature we might see in the future?

Thanks!

Bulk editing snapshots? Good idea! I’ll add that to our feature/improvement tracker.

Tangentially, I’m curious what you’re using hundreds of similar snapshots for. Does your game involve a lot of subtly-different creatures or tools that the player can use, perhaps?

Just wondered whether this feature ever surfaced? It would be super useful to me right now!

Thought I responded to this months ago. Whoops!

I’ll need to check the latest version bit I don’t think this was added yet. And to reply to Joseph, we have a processing chain for mastering that is unique depending on which car you have selected in a game of hundreds of cars. So each snapshot is identical in what’s being affected/parameters used, but the values are different between them.

Thanks!

As of the time of writing (March of 2019) this feature has not yet been added to FMOD Studio. For now, the only way to bulk edit snapshots is to create a script for the purpose.

Thanks for letting us know, Todd. I’ll add the details of your use-case to the task in our feature/improvement tracker, so that it’ll be taken into account when we’re defining requirements for the feature.
