You can use special sound editor called sountrackers. There are a lot available, each with it’s advantage and inconveniances. I suggest you the best and the most populars :
- Impulse tracker : excellent soundtracker with advanced feature (DOS/WIN9X),
- Fast Tracker 2 : like IT (Impulse Tracker), (DOS/WIN9x)
- Modplug Tracker : sound quality is excellent but i don’t like window based soundtracker, however you are the judge (Win9x/2000/XP).
You can find them in the maz sound homepage ( http://www.maz-sound.de ). Finally, here is a complete documentation on how to track with these tools : http://www.soundtrackers.de/archives/trackers05.zip
Happy trackin’ !
