This bug only succes if your system have a Alcohol 120% (1.4 and 1.9) Virtual drive enabled. When these virtual drive is enabled FSOUND_Stream_SetSubStream and FSOUND_Stream_GetNumSubStreams always return 0…. and logicaly cannot play these tracks with FSOUND_Stream_PlayEx ….. (AudioCD is in any REAL CD device)

I have tested these bug in some systems with your FMOD player and always return this message with diferent drives : “Couldn’t access CD/DVD device at ?:” ? refers to specified drive.

with Clone CD and other virtual drives this do not succes.

I used the Daemon tools V3.46 to emulate some virtual units… and i have the same error when play Audio cds with FSOUND_Stream_Open

All tests are efectuated under Win 2k and Win XP with :
P3 dual 1000 Sound Blaster awe32 and 2 DVD-R pioner 106d and 107d
P2 450 Soundblaster awe32 and LG CD-R and sound blaster CDRom

Maybe you need to use the force ASPI flag? I’ve tested FMOD with Alcohol 120% virtual drives and it works fine.
