[b:30uu1ue0]IMPM[/b:30uu1ue0] are the first four characters I see when I opened up a .IT music file in Notepad. A little help, anyone? ๐Ÿ˜•

strange,

always those same 4 characters when I open a random IT file with Notepad
never the same 4 characters when I open a random TXT file with Notepad

should probably report this to MS support site for Notepad ๐Ÿ˜€

Sorry; I didn’t know it was normal instead of another renamed file extension, but in this new situation I mean I can’t get ahold of a converter, since it’s… [b:18yqyn6o].IT[/b:18yqyn6o] ๐Ÿ˜› In other words, Googling is impossible ๐Ÿ˜•

Ah ok,

I see what you mean, birty to the rescue.
What exactly are you trying to do with these .IT files?

What could you possibly want to convert a .IT file to? MP3? Wave?, You could
record them thru your systems mixer, but why? Winamp can play them,
FMOD can play them? It is a tracker, similar to XM, s3m and mod.

You can use Modplug Tracker to save your trackers (e.g. your .it-files) and save them as .wav or directly as .mp3.
Don’t get the sense of it (except you’re composing music and don’t want to share your as it but mp3) but it’s better this way… (Winamp + diskwriter should do the same quality but I’d rather thrust Modplug Tracker)
Just don’t playback + record :)

Sorry, I haven’t been on for a while.
Oh, yeah… [b:2uyo3gdy]Modplug Tracker[/b:2uyo3gdy] I forgot about that ๐Ÿ˜ณ
What could you possibly want to convert a .IT file to?…[/quote:2uyo3gdy]
Me loves Windows Media Player 8) Yeah, I know, it sucks up more performance than the side-scrolling action platformer [b:2uyo3gdy]/\/[/url:2uyo3gdy][/b:2uyo3gdy], but I’m too addicted to the layout ๐Ÿ˜›

But at least it can repeat multiple tracks. in [b:2uyo3gdy]FMOD[/b:2uyo3gdy], when I check Playlist and Loop, it keeps looping just the first song, instead of the whole playlist ๐Ÿ˜• Yet if I don’t check Loop, it doesn’t repeat itself after it drills through the whole playlist :(
