Hi there,

Does anyone know if I can used FMOD to record audio from a mic to a Broadcast Wave file on hard disk? Or alternatively any way to record a BWAV file via software at all? Help!

Source code samples would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

The “record” example show how to save a wav file from the mic.

Yes, that’s true — but I specifically asking about the Broadcast Wave format, not standard wav. It’s different in that it carries Timecode and other information. Thanks for your reply, however.

If you know how to save to wav, you know how to save to anyelse format.
It is up to you (and not FMOD) how to write to the format you want. (ie : lame api for mp3, vorbisfile for vorbis …)

Ok, that’s useful information… wasn’t sure if FMOD had anything built in for that. Thanks!
