Hello,

I’m a new user of the FMOD library, which is a really great library, congratulations.

Although everything seems to work very fine, I sometimes get a FMOD_ERR_COOPERATIVELEVEL error when calling the FSOUND_Init function.

What does this error mean, and how could I fix this this problem ?

Thanks for your help.

Unfortunatly this happens on a centrino laptop running windows xp sp2 :)

I noticed fmod has problems when resuming from a windows xp hiberntion. For example you play a song with fmod in your application and you make your computer hibernate without stopping fmod. When you resume, the music continues playing, but the sound is very poor.

To avoid this problem, I close fmod when the system receives the apm suspend event (FSOUND_Close, because pause or stop are not enough), and I initializes it when I receive the apm resume event.

This workaround works very fine for many computers, but for some computers I get this error.

No idea how to bypass this problem ?
