I downloaded FMOD 3.74, and tried to run the VB sample. It doesn’t work, and says it can’t find “fmod.dll”. I located the .dll (It’s in the api folder) but why doesn’t it work normally? And how would I get it to “find” the .dll?

the dll needs to be in the application directory or c:\windows\system32

Thanks for the help. But when I change the code in the sample project, that error returns, even when the .dll is in the same directory. Any reasons/work arounds?

I was thinking something like

Private Declare Function SomeFunctionInDLL Lib App.Path & “fmod.dll” Alias Something

But I don’t know what I should replace “SomeFunctionInDLL” and the Alias with.

Thanks!

Don’t change the code; just paste a copy of fmod.dll to the main VB folder (for when you are running the app in development) and to the application’s folder (for when you are testing a compiled EXE).
