I currently do looping manually by using FSOUND_Stream_SetTime and a timer. I get decent results. I do this because when one fastforwards and rewinds loop point positons, stopping and starting the stream constantly can make things a bit choppy in VB.

Manually looping is OK for rough editing but not for professional loops. I am thinking of making an “fmod loop” as an edit option.

My question is, if i loop WAV files, how good is the Fmod looping? If i create a loop using the Fmod loop points, if i save the loop, would it be considered a professional loop and would work as expected if played back as a loop on a professional sampler or other device? Or are there caveats?

I read the caveat about compressed format audio in the Fmod docs. What about PCM WAV?
