I want to open a MP3 or OGG stream from memory. I have a Pointer to the stream.

Do I have to use FSOUND_Sample_Load() and give it the Pointer? How does the function know to interpret it as a MP3 or OGG, because there is no file suffix. And how is streaming done – if it is?

Seems like FSOUND_Stream_Open() fits better, but it doesn´t play MP3 or OGG, and according to the docs there are no flags to setup for this need.

I can´t open the file directly, because the stream comes from a AVI file. Or can I just open the AVI-file with FSOUND_Sample_Load() parallel to my Picture decoding and Sync the Frames to the sound Played?

I really think about buying a license if your API fits these needs…

Tried playing AVI filed with fmod.exe and it crashes after a few seconds of playback. Thought fmod can play the sound of avi files… 😥

Can it only do so with uncompressed sound or not @ all ?
