Doe’s anybody know how to calculate the playback frequency of a note?

For example if I assume that middle C (C4) is always 44100 is there an easy way of figuring out what D4 ect would be?

I suppose its not really an fmod specific question but i hope somebody can help.

BTW FMOD ROCKS 👿

Thanks Brett, works like a charm 😀 I would never have figured that out.

Each octave’s frequency is double the previous octave’s frequency.

One important thing to remember is that you CANNOT linearly interpolate between notes by simply multiplying and dividing. You have to use exponents. To be honest, I don’t completely understand why it works that way mathematically, but I know from experience that if you don’t use exponents you will get incorrect results.
