hi brett!

Please, can you help with a working c/c++/c#/vb example for using a dsp effect dll ?
I can’t get it work, echo, flanger,…
and i can’t find any example for that.

thanks,
Thomas.

Yes I could, just too lazy :-)
I said, that DSP_Remove will not stop the song… I also said, that some effects like Reverb or Distotion don’t work.
Regards,

Manuel

Ah, nice! Some .BAS files… now I don’t have to muck around with type libraries. :)

I’ve been watching this since the beginning, getting all excited about the features. I’m hoping you’ll still consider porting it to Pocket PC.

sorry we’ve decided to drop the pocketpc from our platform list unless they start shipping with FPU’s.. There is too much reliance on the fpu in this engine. We are even thinking of changing frequency / volume / pan etc to 0.0 to 1.0 now instead of 0-1024.
Most people on pocketpc want nothing but a file format loader, and mixer. I dont think some of the more advanced features on fmodex would even be used in pocketpc apps.[/quote:2o7iqtt0]Will FMOD 3.x still be supported for a while, if you’re dropping platforms? I’m primarily asking out of curiosity, but it would be good to know that anything I have that still uses FMOD3.x can stick with it and still get support for at least a little while after Ex comes out.

Also, I just want to put my vote in for floating point volume and pan. Floating point frequency sounds a bit odd, but I would absolutely love having volume and pan as floats. I already use floats to store them internally in my engine, and not having to convert would be wonderful.

Hi Brett – thank you very much for the new effects – thats what Ive been waiting for. But I must back “mp3observer”: DSP_Release stops the sound and we/I only want to disable/unload the effect on the channel…

Hey Thomas,

hi brett, psychoquaker:

psychoquaker: thanks for the dsp.remove, that works !
but, brett:
these effects work:
chorus
flange
pitchshift
parameq
highpass
lowpass
lowpass2

these effects don’t work:
distortion: sounds like highpass
normalize: can’t here any difference
reverb: FMOD_Channel_AddDSP raises an error
