Somemtime ago I wrote a few small programs in Windows including one to save a stream to MP3 using BladeMP3EncDLL, any idea on how to do this in Linux. I thought of porting BladeMP3 to Linux so as not to change my programs but there must be a better way.

TIA

LAME is a better choice.

I think LAME uses the same interface as BladeEnc, Lame is available for linux and has better quality.

Chris, when I wrote BladeMp3 I meant BladeMP3EncDLL. The source comes with lame-3.96.1, it is a Windows DLL interface to the LAME encoding engine and is a replacement and compatible with BladeEnc.dll I am just to lazy :) to change my Windows code so I ported the Windows BladeMP3EncDLL to Linux and I am using that instead of having to make Lame calls.
