I’m trying to find a way to pass data to the output plugin.
FMOD_OUTPUT has a userdata member which is said to contain:
“User created data the dsp plugin writer wants to attach to this object”

Now what I’m not claer about is how exactly does the DSP plugin set this field. Is it the userdata member which is set by DSP::setUserData?

Also I was thinking that the Systm::userdata can be used, but it doesn’t look like the output oplugin gets a handle to the system object in any stage of its lifecycle. What do you think about passing a handle to the system on Init?

Thanks Assaf

Thanks for the reply. I suspected it was a typo..

So, just to be clear on that, there is no “official” way to pass extra parameters to an output plugin?

In order to make things a bit clearer , what I want to do is to create a ‘streaming plugin’ that will upload a steam to a server. When it initiates the connection to the server I want it to pass few identification parameters and I wanted to do it via your elegant output plugin framework.
Please let me know if you have any ideas.
Apprecite it.

I’d be in favor of a system similar to how DSPs can have parameters. Is something like that possible?
