I was wondering, since FMOD can also run on XBox, does this mean that I can just use the same sound component I wrote in C/C++ for PC based on FMOD, on XBox ? ? ?

Or are there major differences ?

there are some limitations (see the documentation under console issues, xbox) but one of the major features of fmod is that it is crossplatform so you can use (almost) the same code on any of the supported platforms
