I was testing FmodEx when I noticed it wouldn’t load my net stream, due to the following error:
“Unsupported File or Audio Format”
Now I know Fmod supports this since Fmod 3 plays the stream just fine (so this isn’t the same bug as the wma/asf topic listed before). The stream I feed to it was
I used that for both Fmod 3 and FmodEx, but only Fmod 3 would play it.
I then tried “http://22.214.171.124:9156/oc80.ogg”, which still resulted in an unsupported file error.
Note that these were taken directly out of the .pls files, since I know Fmod doesn’t do text parsing on it’s own (yet).
EDIT: This is using ver 4.00.30 Beta (new), minGW compiler, and output mode is WINMM (since DSOUND doesn’t work on this system).

It appears that ogg isn’t supported o_O, cause all ogg files, like the one above, are “unsupported”. However, all mp3 files:
Seem to work without issue.
However, ogg files work fine on my HD, so it’s only over stream that issues arise.
Both versions of Fmod (3 and Ex) play oggs from my HD. However, when I play from this net stream, only Fmod 3 will play it. The streams ares still active if you want to do any testing on your end. It’s a radio (ie, not mine) but I know the output format is ogg.
I will try putting a .ogg file on my server and see if I can stream it, same with an mp3. I’ll also try a few other stations to see if I can get them to work. I’ll let you know my results.
