I’d like to know if there is any way to get through the “non-stream sounds only” in the paramater of setFrequency for a backward playback. Maybe with a FMOD_NONBLOCKING flag or something… 😕
Because it’s a pity we have to wait for all the song to be loaded… 😳 😥

There are a lot of formats that can’t be decoded backwards, or are very inefficient to decode backwards, so it’s not very likely that this could ever be implemented without some sort of hack on brett’s part. Why not just load it as a sample?
One idea I thought up: If loading it as one sample is too much, you could try slicing the audio up into multiple smaller samples, and then loading a few of those at a time, reversing them, and stitching them together on the fly to simulate a fake ‘stream’.
Not sure it’d work, though.
