Hi,

after release of fmodex 4 I want to migrate my dj-program (written in VB6) from 3.74 to fmodex 4. To learn something about the new way I tried the multiplesoundcard example because I use two soundcards on my laptop. The built in Realtec AC97 and the PCMCIA-SB Audigy 2. The sample recognizes both soundcards and fills the dropdowns correctry. After selcting different output devices both samples are played on the AC97. The SB-Audigy is quiet.
What can be wrong ? Any ideas ?

Regards, Gunther

Ok I found the problem in the example why that is not working.

This code needs to be changed in the VB example

[code:3678oe5a]

‘—————————————–
‘In the Private Sub ComboA_Click()

‘OLD CODE:
result = FMOD_System_SetDriver(systemA, ComboA.ListIndex)

‘NEW CODE
result = FMOD_System_SetDriver(systemA, CLng(ComboA.ListIndex))
‘—————————————–

‘—————————————–
‘In the Private Sub ComboB_Click()

‘OLD CODE:
result = FMOD_System_SetDriver(systemB, ComboA.ListIndex)
‘As you can see it is linking to ComboA ListIndex. Not good!

‘NEW CODE:
result = FMOD_System_SetDriver(systemB, CLng(ComboB.ListIndex))
‘—————————————–

‘—————————————–
‘In the Private Sub ComboB_Click()
‘Added this code to bottom like in ComboA_Click()

result = FMOD_Sound_SetMode(soundB, FMOD_LOOP_OFF)
ERRCHECK (result)
‘—————————————–
[/code:3678oe5a]

After those changes in the VB example mutliple soundcards will work!

Thanks all.
