Brett,

Just downloaded the latest version and designer and tried to use the new getIndex functionality. It compiles and links just fine, but the first try at using it results in a “reading violation at 0x00000034 “. Most likely a structure is NULL somewhere in there. I’ve double checked to make sure I’m using the right DLLs, too.

Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

Jeff M.

[i:139cwjey]Follow-up: Just a side note, the event is open, I can play the event just fine on the line of code before getIndex is called and it plays. Just to alleviate any concerns that the event didn’t load, doesn’t exist, etc.[/i:139cwjey]

Brett,

Currentlly im trying to compile my project with FMOD Ex on Visual Studio 2003. The samples compile perfectlly, but my project has linking errors.

FMOD_RESULT __stdcall FMOD::System::init(int,unsigned int,void *)” (?init@System@FMOD@@QAG?AW4FMOD_RESULT@@HIPAX@Z) referenced in function “public: void __thiscall soundSys_t::Init(void)” (?Init@soundSys_t@@QAEXXZ)

And list continues like that. Ive tried fmodex_vc.lib and fmodexp_vc.lib both of them return the same error. Ive compiled the sample projects and they compile perfectlly.

Am I missing something?

-Justin

I fixed it, for whatever reason it had something to do with the workstation I was on, I tried it on a different machine and it compiled perfectlly.
