if i run a example in xode i get following errors:
Running custorm shell script (3 Errors)
cp: API/examples/effects/build/Debug/effects: no such file or directory
cp: Programmers: No such file of directory
cp: /Developer/FMOD: No such file or directory

fmodapi40037 is installed in standardlocation.

if i try it with gcc:
i change to the examples dir and use make. ok – no errors. i start the app in the same terminal – ok everything fine.
if i try to run the compiled app from another terimnal i get following errors:
dyld: Library not loaded: libfmodx.dylb
Referenced from: /Developer/FMOD Programmers API/examples/3d/3d
Reason: image not found
Trace/BPT trap

how can i load the libray now? what do i have to do to get it working in XCode Version 2.1

What’s up with the mac support?

hope you can help me – thanks

Hi, thanks for reporting this. The XCode problems will be fixed in the next release.

In regards to examples not working when running from “another terminal” its because by default the app looks for libfmodex.dylib in the directory it was run from. Not the directory the app is in. To make sure it uses the libfmodex.dylib in the directory the app is in, use the install_name_tool command:

install_name_tool -change libfmodex.dylib @executable_path/libfmodex.dylib <executable_name>

I have added this step to all the example Makefiles.

thanks for the fast answer – great guys! with BuildConfiguration Debug i got it working in xcode directly but something is still strange with release and deployment configs. apple is really bugging around with xcode an compatibility.
