It appears that some files don’t load properly anymore with the new build.
From the files that I’ve tested, 44kHz mp3’s played fine, but 48kHz ogg files crash my program.

I get “hickups” in my sound when using WinAmp plugin (worked fine in older versions)

What mode do you recomend for DSP_RESAMPLER ?

And how much buffer. Now I tried like this: setStreamBufferSize(64*1024, FMOD.TIMEUNIT.RAWBYTES)

I use OUTPUTTYPE.DSOUND

I’m not using plugins.
I used nosound_nrt outputmode and readData.
I don’t know where exactly my program crashed, I only know that it does crash loading these songs with the new version, and it doesn’t with the older dll.
The strange thing is that the when I get the exception it’s just at address 0000000 and windows doesn’t know in which module it occured.

Yes I notised backwards compatibility.

But this is a WimAmp plugin, you still support wimamp plugins right.

I only use the built in plugin FMOD.DSP_TYPE.PARAMEQ and a winamp dsp plugin.

Even without loading FMOD.DSP_TYPE.PARAMEQ I get “hickups” in the sound when using WinAmp plugin.

Sorry…

The “hickups” are pops and clicks, but most they sounds like the stream jumps/stumble in position.

Same here – every ogg file I’ve tried with FMOD_OPENMEMORY causes a crash on Mac OS X 10.4.2 with FMOD 4.01.01 (worked fine with previous releases). Here’s the relevant bits of the crash log:

[code:3vzq8ksz]Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001)
Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE (0x0002) at 0x00000000

The loadfrommemory example project also can’t seem to load anything.
