I’m using MSVC++ 6.0 and I’m trying to use FMOD in a dialog based app. However, any time I try to make an FSOUND_* call, I crash. It compiles fine, but anytime I actually try to call anything it doesn’t work. Any ideas?

(I got it to work in a regular console app. fine)

Hard to say, the way you use FMOD is fundamentally the same regardless of it being a console app or a window/dlg app.
Are you calling FSOUND_Init in WM_CREATE?

Learn to use debugger 😉

sulphy.

It was FSOUND_GetNumDrivers
I think. I didn’t actually check for errors, I just kept going as if it performed correctly, so something later in my program probably assumed the call had completed correctly when it hadn’t.
