Hi Gurus,
I’m trying to find a way to convert the fmod.dll to a static library.
The motivation here is to generate a standalone sound application without being dependant on the fmod dll
Any help is appreciated.

Hi,
Please elaborate on the reason why there is no fmod.lib available that can be statically linked to the application at link time.
From security persecptive a dll can be easily switched off at run-time by impersonator who may “attack” the application caller resulting in end-user abuse and frail bond between the application and the fmod.dll

Thanks Brett for your prompt answer.
I have one last question though:
Is it possible to purchase the FMOD dll source code for money ?
By having the source-code I will be able to compile it as a static lib….
