hi,
i’m trying to static link fmod( ver 3.75). after usual linking problems i’ve got it all running and playing music and sounds :)

but at some time it crashesh when fmod tries to enter its critical section with the following call stack. the crash is not happening after some time and playing many sounds.

callstack:

ntdll.dll!77f69ecd()
ntdll.dll!77f5b2e6()
FSOUND_CriticalSection_Enter(FSOUND_CRITICALSECTION * crit=0x10f54080)  Line 712 + 0xc  C

> FSOUND_Output_DSound_Update() Line 2343 + 0xb C
FSOUND_Update() Line 1547 + 0xc C
FMODSound::Process() Line 316 C++
CSoundSystem::Process() Line 429 + 0x15 C++
Sound::Process() Line 211 C++
Game::Run() Line 261 C++
………..

… most of the time. several times it crashesh at some other places, but most of the time this is the call stack. the project is win32 application using vc7(multi threaded). the 4 static libs fmodstatic, ogg_static,vorbis_static and vorbisfile_static are all compiled with the same compiler options&models as the project.

any ideas?

yes, it happens with fmod.dll builded from that version too.

that’s the actual fault callstack and it’s not a hit break in the debugger due to a hang.

i’ll try such software to see what will happen.
