Hi,

If i load a designer project using a nested path (e.g. “data/sound/myproject.fev”) and I decide to call loadEventData on an EventGroup instance i receive the “file not found” return code, apparently because it only searches the current working directory for the fsb’s. It seems I have to set the media path to “data/sound” before loading the project with the path being “myproject.fev” before it works.

The problem is that if I’m going to load several projects which reside in different directories the loadEventData method will fail on all but one of the projects which hardly seems logical.

So my question is; are there any reason to why loadEventData method doesn’t look in the directory from which the project was loaded from? I’ve been fiddling with this problem for an hour now before it dawned on me that perhaps it only looked in the current working directory, but maybe I’ve missed something :)

Actually I just tested it with different project dirs and it all works if I just set the media path before loading the individual projects.

But it would be nice if it worked for load(“some/path/project.fev”) and not just setmediapath(“some/path”) load(“project.fev”).. I guess it’s a minor issue.

Thanks for your response and keep up the good work – FMOD rocks! 😉
