hi.

I’m making my own visual sync system for my demos using fmod for playing the mp3 files.

Now i have run in to a problem.
I want to visualize the mp3 file in “Waveform View”. Now to do this i have decompress the file to raw. I don’t want to decompress the whole mp3 file to the memory. I want to decompress frame by frame or whatever its called (sample?).

I have spent hours looking for this in fmod but found nothing. =(

Now is it possible to somehow decompress each frame in fmod or not ??

If so please tell me how.
If not i have to get a hold of another mp3 decompresser which feels like a really stupid solution.

thanx

What about adding a DSP callback and copying the buffer it gives you?

In the samples, look at the FMOD testbed (samplesfmod). In Main.c starting at line 199 is a sample low pass DSP filter callback.
