I have made an FMODEX program for use in a 3D graphics demo. The intention is to use software mixing and a custom DSP attached to specific sound channels.

I have succesfully implemented the custom DSP effect on my sound channels and have specified 3D sounds, positions and listeners etc. The 3D sound works fine in HARDWARE mixing mode with 5POINT1 speaker mode selected(obviously without DSP effect). However, when I change the mixing mode to SOFTWARE, it appears that sound attenuation(ie loudness vs. distance) works correctly, but the sound is not panned through the speakers at all. It seems to me like the channels are being downmixed to a mono output.

Any help with this would be appreciated.
