It would be nice if FMOD_ErrorString was a function exported by the library rather than being supplied in a C header. The error enum appears to change frequently and keeping error strings in sync for different FMOD Ex versions when using languages that don’t parse C headers is nigh impossible.

I’m accessing the FMOD dylib from REALbasic. I release the RB classes as open source as a courtesy, and although it’s not difficult to port the error string function I can’t guarantee people will be using the same FMOD version that I built against. For now I’ve resorted to logging errors as raw codes.

This isn’t a huge deal as these are high-level classes that trap most problems before they even get to FMOD, but I figured it couldn’t hurt to ask. Thanks.
