I was wondering just how often this function had to be called, or when it had to be called? (ie. every x seconds or before every PLAY, PAUSE, SET VOLUME function execution ?) I’m asking this because I do not have direct access to the main loop of my application, but it may be possible to use a timer. Thanks in advance.

In fact, my player does not call Update() at all. But it still works…

Perhaps basic programs that only used some common functions can work without Update().

I simply play the sound and set a timer of 1000ms interval.
OnTimer(), I will check whether the sound is stopped. If stopped and there are other sounds, simply play the rest.

My player is very very simply. It takes no more that 2 MB memory.
Thanks to FMOD, a very very powerful lib.
