At the peak of our production we will need multiple people working in designer to get content into the game. We will likely have about 8 sound designers building content and two people integrating that content into the game.

This brings up the very difficult problem of two people making edits to the same file.

Luckily we have nice logical breaks for separation of content so that we can for instance put all combat sounds in one file and all music in another. However this sort of separation does not seem to be supported by the FMOD designer API.

Can I load more than one .fev at once?

If not is there an offline way to combine two .fdp’s and compile them or combine two compiled banks?

Loading more than one .fev would be vastly preferable. I would like for them to be combined as if all the event groups were in the same .fev.

This is how it already is. Load as many .fevs as you like.

Cool. This is not documented in EventSystem::load and the tutorial implies otherwise by saying the sound designer creates 1 fev. There is a sentence later in the tutorial which does say you can load two .fev which i missed earlier.

Is there a way to bring events from one FDP into another without having to recreate them from scratch?

Currently no. We’re planning to implement this using cut and paste or an "import project" feature though we don’t have a solid date for that yet.
