I am working on a Windows CE (currently CE4.2 but soon to be CE5.0) and now need to add the ability to playback various audio media files but in particular MP3 files.

Hence my interest in FMOD.

I may be worrying un-necessarily but would like to know more of FMOD’s requirements.

The system I am working on is Currently PXA255 soon to be PXA270 based both system have AC97 COdecs fitted and as far as I know playback std windows .WAV files.

Is that all FMOD requires or are there other requirments.

Also does the Windows CE version of FMOD playback all of the file types listed on the features page of the web site.
i.e. DLS,M3U,ASX,WAX,PLS,AIFF,ASF,FLAC
FSB,IT,MOD,MP2,MP3,OGG,RAW,S3M,WAV
WMA,XM,VAG,XMA

Many thanks

Thanks for the reply Brett !

Am I right in my assumption that as long as my current system can play back .WAV files then I have everything on board Hardware wise to use FMOD ?

Thanks

Brett,

Am I reading this right – are you saying that PocketPC’s won’t play WMA files with fMod 3? I thought I read somewhere to the contrary. Just want to make sure before I bask in my disappointment…
