I’m trying to automate and integrate .fev files in our editor,
but there is no API for tracking the dependencies between .fev and .fsb files …
in example: It is obvious in FMOD Designer which Wave banks are used for the current .fev/project …. but there is no API that can give me that info … What I should do ?

You could try reading the .fdp file. All wavebanks associated with a project have “soundbank” tags in the project .fdp. These could be read pretty trivially even without parsing the XML.

honestly i don’t think parsing this file is the right solution,
the file is not in the best format, i have to support a parser … etc( small but tedious and off side tasks , imho),
it will be much cleaner if there is API in the event system … getSoundBanksNames ( "examples.fev" )… Paths … or something like it

well, a way around would be to go through all the events , getInfo,
get the soundbanks names, sort them, unify the result … etc …

fmod_designercl.exe -m blah.fdp

may have the info you are looking for (as well as a bunch more). you can at least get the .fev->fsb relationship for a given .fdp since it will output the generated .fev, .fsb

I as well would like the ability to map event names onto .fsb for memory loading checks (as posted previously). something like
group->getSoundBankNames(…) but preferably just output in text as part of the buliding process.

Noted. I’ll be adding memory stats to the programmer report soon.
