First off, thanks for a great design tool and API!

I’d like a way to prototype my sound designs out-of-game and without having to talk to a programmer.

So an application (separate or nested within the designer) that just lets me trigger oneshots and toggle looping events at will would be awesome. I am under the impression that this is what “fmod_eventplayer” is for, am I correct?

Problem is, “fmod_eventplayer” won’t open up on my 1.42GHz G4 running OS 10.4.6.

Maybe I’m wrong about what “fmod_eventplayer” does — if so, an application like the one described above would be invaluable!

Thanks!

Thanks Charlie! fmod_eventplayer is what you’re after – I’ll look into why it’s not working for you. What happens when you try to run it?

Hi, Andrew. Thanks for getting back to me. Here’s the story: I installed the latest version fmod_designer last month. When I tried opening “fmod_eventplayer”, the window showed up, and then I got “The application fmod_eventplayer quit unexpectedly.”

So I reinstalled the latest version, and now it doesn’t even get to the window, it just “The application fmod_eventplayer quit unexpectedly.

If I find a way in just a second, I’ll private message you the error report.

Thanks!
