We’re trying to integrate FMOD Ex into our game engine, which uses a different distance scale from meters. I’d like to be able to pass our engine’s distances in without having to convert to meters first. It looks like this should be possible by using System::set3DSettings().

I’ve noticed other people passing in distancefactor, but leaving dopplerscale and rolloffscale set to 1.0, which seems like it would totally screw up logarithmic rolloff and doppler. My question is, what is the proper way to set those two parameters?

E.g., if 50 of our units equals one meter, is this the correct way to adjust FMOD?:

[quote:1aqvspxa]set3DSettings( 1.0 / 50.0, 50.0, 1.0 / 50.0 )[/quote:1aqvspxa]

If I make this call to set3DSettings(), are there any other settings I have to change to make FMOD function exactly the same with my new units?

Thanks,
Mike

Oh.. Cool to see Irrational using FMOD :)

Ive just gotten started with the 3d Settings in FMOD myself, so I’d be curious to see the information here too :)
