It would be very nice if we could use designer to query what output files it would produce (like gcc -M) and what input files it depends on so that we can do file time stamp checks in our autobuild and only recompile .fdp that need to be recompiled.

This is not super important but would make our build process much smoother. Audio is our only only asset that is not automated correctly. Right now we have to rebuild all audio or no audio in the auto build.

Another variant is to just incorporate the time stamp stuff your self and do your own minimal rebuild. It would allow those without an automated build system around them to still gain the speedup. Of course you will need a clean build option in this case.

Either this or the previous post would be great for me.

This has been implemented for the next release (monday 24th).
