I’m trying to put those functions to work.
But it won’t. I get a linker error:
DCD.obj : error LNK2001: Nichtaufgeloestes externes Symbol _FSOUND_CD_Play@8
(not existing extern symbol) I don’t know if this is the right translation…

I get this error for every CD function.
the lib is linked, and its the right version.
I’m using MSVC / C++.

Where is the error?

Sorry, but your project is not linked with FMOD, perhaps you choose the wrong lib ? U must link with “fmodvc.lib”, otherwise, it will fail. Hope it help.

I looked at the linker Directions and found
the mistake, it was still linked to the older
lib version.

So far, so good.
But why does it stop Playing when I put it
into the Tray ? Its seems not to be able
to play in the backround…

Did you Init Fmod with the global focus flag?
Try:
FSOUND_Init( mixrate, maxSWChan, FSOUND_INIT_GLOBALFOCUS);

The documentation says that the flags for the above function are reserved for future expansion, but they are listed under FSOUND_INIT_FLAGS.

I do hand over the FSOUND_Init(9
with FSOUND_INIT_GLOBALFOCUS,
But its still the same, its stops playing,
when I put it into the Tray.

Hmm, Ja.
It’s an error in my code. I made it Stop playing, when the OnCommandhandler was called,
that way it stoped automatically, when I clicked
at the Taskbar button…

Sure enough, I got the new docs but I’ve still been reading the old ones.

Fine, Fine.
Works all Fine.

But is there away to get the Title of the
Song playing? When I play .cda its not even
in the filename included…

Thx in advance

Yeah it s possible to fond the title of a cd track. U can ask for it from a CDDB database or FreeDB database, there are plenty of DLL/OCX on the net helping the coder in this task.
