If it is http://server/audio.mp3 I can hear the sound but if I use https://server/audio.mp3 it return error code 22 say file not found. How can I stream the sound from https://?

Thanks.

i just tried it and part of the issue was that we are only checking for the word http instead of https , but upon reading data over the internet from that address i’m getting weird unexpected garbage back, so at the moment I would say no for now.

Hi Brett,

I’ve tried this link with Windows Media Player and it can playback the sound. So I think the returns from the server is not ‘unexpected garbage’. Now I just wonder is FMOD will support https:// streaming in the near future?

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, we will support it but I can’t give you a date right now. It’s not a high priority for us at the moment I’m afraid. Check back later in the year.

Cheers,

I only meant we usually get human readable text strings back from a website and the data i got back was just binary stuff so to the eye it look like garbage, it just requires further investigation which we don’t have time for at the moment.
edit: ok apparently andrew knows what it is :)

That’s fine. I will check it later.
Thanks.
