Hey Guys,

I would like to put in a feature request which would save us Sound Designers some time when it comes to placing sounds and effects on the Event Editor and then having to change the ruler after we have painstakingly dialed in settings. As of right now, it is EXTREMELY hard to dial back in settings to try and match once you have to resize sounds and effect curves by hand.

Here is my current problem:
I had set some layers, sounds and effects in the Event Editor with a ruler setting of 0 to 50. After dialing it in nice and perfect I realized that I should expand the ruler to 0-200 after the fact. After doing so, the previously placed sounds and settings of effects stayed where they were onscreen previously, therefore ruinning how it was playing in the game (ruler was tied to parameter in the game). So basically, it now plays over 0-200 instead of the original 0-50.

Solution:
It would be great if Designer gave the user a prompt asking if he/she would like to keep the previous settings (sound placement, fades, effect curves) where they were, relative to the old ruler (essentially Snapping to the Grid as some audio programs call it) or stretch to new ruler ( this is essentially the default right now even though those sounds are not stretching the ruler is).

Good idea Kris. I’ll get that onto our list.

Cheers,

Awesome, I can’t wait for that!
It’s very painfull currently to re-sequence all that stuff by hand when changing the ruler in an elaborate event … 😕
