I have several .ogg files ‘merged’ with a tool to a simple .ogg file. Working with FMod, FModEx however only plays a few seconds (1st stream) (also length detection…)
(Tested with FModEx 4.04.04)

From the readme file of the tool used to ‘merge’ these .ogg files
"Ogg files are joined simply as with "copy /b file1.ogg+file2.ogg result.ogg". The result is .ogg file containing "chained bitstreams" which is 100% valid, but unfortunately vcut.exe can’t handle it further."

as far as i’m aware you can’t just copy ogg files together. They have their own header and length and the first ogg can’t magically that there are more following it.

That’s what I found in the readme of that tool. Just know those files work with fmod 3 and other players, but not FModEx.

yes. if you try to open that chained stream in winamp and press Alt+3 (file info) you can select information about all streams. and its all streams are playable

i just found one of those chained bitstreams thanks to another poster here, it looks like it is playing them ok now (to the end), but it doesnt enumerate them or anything.
