Brett,
It wasn’t 100% clear to me from the revision notes whether you were able to addressed any of my bug reports, so I wanted to mention that all three bugs from "PCM Pitch Problems & ADPCM Problems" are still present in 1.04.17. Some more info.

1) The pop is small, it happens when the event terminates. You hear silence and as the time param reach 1.0, you hear a slight pop. Only when pitch randomizer is enabled. Force software makes no difference

2) Our grenade sounds are still corrupted with ADPCM.

3) I crash when unloading and releasing the event system when compressed formats are used.

Best regards,
Michael

Hi,
Your stuff is the main focus on our list at the moment, we just had to get the version out because there were some other bugs that were affecting more people at the moment. If you look in the release of the programmer’s api revision.txt it is quite large.

I’ve reproduced the adpcm issue, i’ve only seen the quality issue in your example so that is a bit weird. Its possible i may need the source wavs to recompile the bank in adpcm to see if it is an encoder issue or not.

Brett, I’ve sent you an email with a WAV file reader fix (it wasn’t doing the "fact" chunk reader endian conversion) – Could we have that one also?
