The FMOD_Channel_AddDSP() function only works when sound is playing?

the effect works:

res := FMOD_System_PlaySound(sys, FMOD_CHANNEL_FREE, snd1, False, chan1);
ERRCHECK(res);

res := FMOD_Channel_AddDSP(chan1, dsp1);
ERRCHECK(res);

I want to add DSP to chan1…then every time that I play the sound the effect still working.

OK. works fine FMOD_Channel_AddDSP every time…

but FMOD_ChannelGroup_AddDSP causes:
[code:3l2qql0r]
DSP connection error. Connection possibly caused a cyclic dependancy
[/code:3l2qql0r]

how to fix it?

I updated the FMOD Ex version to 4.04.49 and now both(Channel_AddDSP, ChannelGroup_AddDSP) causes "Connection possibly caused a cyclic dependancy" =(

Look at the "submixing" and "effects" examples. They use Channel::addDSP and ChannelGroup::addDSP without errors. How does your usage differ?
