Is Channel::setVolume() supposed to have any effect on 3D sounds? It doesn’t appear to, and I was hoping it would act as a scalar to the volume computed for the distance to the 3D sound. This would let my sound designer decide that a sound should play at 0.5 volume without having to change the sound asset in the game.

BTW, even though the volume is unchanged, Channel::getVolume() does return the volume I passed in.

I just modified the 3d example by slinging in the following lines :

result = channel1->setVolume(0.1f);
ERRCHECK(result);
result = channel2->setVolume(0.1f);
ERRCHECK(result);
[/code:3qevzcm9]

after the sounds are played and it works fine.
