Trying to use FMODEx for audio and gstreamer for video (embedded in a window) within an app. The two do not need to play at the same time. However, the gstreamer instance won’t play unless we close FMOD first. We often can’t get FMODEx back up properly in time to play the next required sound after the movie ends. (And sometimes we can’t get it back up at all.) Is there any way to allow FMODEx and gstreamer to co-exist so we don’t have to shut down FMODEx when playing movies?

Oops, forgot platform info… Ubuntu (Dapper ) Linux. The application is written in RealBasic using Frank Condello’s FMODEx wrapper classes. However, this is not a RealBasic issue. I can get the symptoms to manifest playing anything that uses FMODEx and simultaneously trying to run Totem-gstreamer.
