I’m attempting to playback an MP3 file in Delphi using FMOD, but the sound is slow and choppy.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Below is my code:

<PRE>
<font size=-1>
if not FSOUND_Init(44100, 32, 0) then
begin
DisplayMessage(‘ERROR: ‘ + FMOD_ErrorString(FSOUND_GetError));
Halt;
end
else
DisplayMessage(‘FMOD Initialized’);

// tried it with both DSOUND and WINMM
FSOUND_SetOutput(FSOUND_OUTPUT_DSOUND);

Stream := FSOUND_Stream_OpenFile(PChar(FullFileName), FSOUND_LOOP_OFF, 0);

if (Stream = nil) then
DisplayMessage(‘ERROR: ‘ + FMOD_ErrorString(FSOUND_GetError))
else
FSOUND_Stream_Play(FSOUND_FREE, Stream);

</font>
</PRE>

Nevermind. Must have been a driver thing. A reboot did the trick.
