I have set up a bunch of events in FMOD designer that use sounds that come from wavebanks set to Stream from disk. Basically the events are set up so they are streaming. On PC I can play 4 streaming events at once with no problems or stutters. However, on PS2, there is constant stutter when I try to play more than one stream at once.

I have set the stream buffersize to be 2000ms which is 2 seconds.

Also on PS2, playing an event which loops constantly and is set to stream, stutters at the end of the stream. It then manages to find the start of the event after a few stutters and continues from the beginning again.

Is there something besides the stream buffersize that I need to set to stop this stutter?

I have managed to stop the stuttering on the ps2, by calling FMOD_INIT_STREAM_FROM_UPDATE when I initialise FMOD.

I guess this is something to do with thread priorities then. Do you have your own EE threads running?

Yes, there are our own EE threads running in addition to FMODs EE thread.
