Wow, I can’t even get out of the starting blocks.

I coppied the DLL’s to my System32 folder in Windows XP, but when I open VB6 and try to add a reference to them for the sample project "Play Sound" Visual Basic tells me "Can’t add a reference to the specified file"

What am I doing wrong?

Also, is there an official Dot Net DLL coming?
I searched the forums, but can’t find anything definitive.

fmod is not a activex dll and cannot be added as a reference.
it’s used as api, requiring all used functions to be declared in vb6 (fmod.bas, …; included in the example project)
