Is it possible?

I mean, if I call System::playSound on several sounds one after another then there is a chance that some of them will actually start playing later than others. And the gap may reach several dozens of milliseconds. I believe it may be very noticeable.
So, is it possible to start playing those sounds completely simultaneously?

It should be possible by writing a custom DSP effect that mixes these sounds in software.

I just wander if there is a simplier way.

Check out System::lockDSP() and System::unlockDSP().
So it’d be something like:
pSystem->lockDSP();
// A whole bunch of these:
pSystem->playSound(…);
// …
pSystem->unlockDSP();
