I’m trying to make an event play with stereo spatialization when the sound is on top of you (listener=position). I know you can do this with channel->set3dsubchanneloffset, but I’m unsure how to get the channels returned by the event to do this (channelnum = 0, from getchannelgroup).

Any ideas?

if it is an event, add a distance parameter, and either a stereo spread effect or a 3d pan level effect.

You can make a sound morph between 2d and 3d with fmod. The 2d speaker levels it morphs to are set in the event properties.

3d speakerspread just rotates the left/right parts of the sound around the speakers from 0 – 360 degrees.
