Is there any information available on how the multiple project workspace will work?

Are there any current plans to create a mix-bus hierarchy in the designer tool? If so, will it be something that can be specified at the event level?

The multi-project workspace will just be the same as it looks now, but fdps will be in the event heirachy as different coloured folders, and i guess the tab will be called workspace instead of ‘heirarchy’ (that label should probably be changed anyway).

We will be doing some stuff with effects on categories, which you could consider mix busses. This is a way off yet though.
Programmers can add dsp effects to categories right now though, using some simple code. (EventCategory::getChannelGroup then ChannelGroup::addDSP)

In 1.05 – with multiple .fdp files all viewable and editable at the same time, will there be a unifying (shared amongst all fdps) category system that exists outside the individual .fdp? Some master project file?

The paradigm of having one category system per game is critical, but how that gets expressed across multiple fdps within the next big issue of fmod designer is the question…
