I spent a few hours debugging a "file not found" error while building fsb data today on one of our build machines. The fev would compile fine, then when it went to compress the data, it said the wav was not found and would error out. After going around in circles I had a weird hunch, and it turned out to be right. Apparently, you have to have sound drivers installed and running to compress the data! Now, the first thing to note is the error I was getting was file not found, which really threw me off. The second thing is why does the compiler need a working sound card? Hopefully clearing this up will prevent anybody else from having this problem :). Thanks!

Its possible the file it was talking about was dsound.dll or something like that.

I’ve set the compiler to specify nosound output type when it builds so you shouldnt get that issue again.
