Hi everyone,

Is there a way to get the raw audio data from, say, an MP3 file using FMOD 3.75 on Windows?

I have taken a look at the DSP unit, but the amount of data given is not that much.

I should want to write the data to a file for later encoding into .ogg so which would be the best place to get the wave audio?

in FMOD 3 you have to load it as a sample (decompress the whole thing into memory as pcm), then use FSOUND_Sample_Lock/FSOUND_Sample_Unlock to access the data.

With fmod ex you can use Sound::readData to bring it in a block at a time.
